Here's some impossible advice: Try not to let your sadness about the impending leave ruin the time you have left. If you can, just go into denial for a while, and enjoy your son. (It's what I do when K is home on school breaks. It doesn't make me miss her less when she is gone, but it makes her time home more enjoyable.) (And I KNOW that going two hours away to college is NOT the same as joining the military, but it's the closest I can come to imagining what you are going through.) Praying for you and for Michael!
